In the last ICSC Commercial Real Estate Law Forum, held in Lima, Peru, Ignacio Bolleli from MB Abogados was appointed as new president, replacing Diego Covarrubias from Planigrupo Latam, one of the largest shopping centers companies of the region.
It is the first time that a Chilean lawyer leads the main Latin American forum of shopping centers, which gathers the greatest exponents of law firms and in-house counsels of this market and of the real state sector.
“It is a great recognition to our work, we are one of the law firms with more experience in shopping centers, due to the number of transactions that we have, and also in the real estate sector, a relatively new branch, in which we have participated and that we have actively promoted”, says Bolleli.
The mission of the forum, held the last semester of every year, is to translate to the legal sphere the needs and new trends of the shopping centers industry and real estate business, “that are currently aiming at its reinvestment, becoming from traditional consumption to places of experience and entertainment”.
The main purposes of Bolleli leadership is to continue with the leadership of the forum in Latin America, to continue promoting the participation of the industry’s main actors and expanding attendance to other leaders of sectors interested in the shopping centers and real estate world.
