The Panamanian hotel chain landed together with Grupo Patio and was legally advised by MB Abogados, through partners Ignacio Bolelli and Carolina Menichetti.
The Panamanian hotel chain Selina will land in Chile, with an investment of US$ 36 million, through an alliance with Grupo Patio, to conduct 16 projects all over the country.
MB Abogados legally advised the operation – on the hand of Grupo Patio-, led by partners Ignacio Bolelli and Carolina Menichetti.
Álvaro Jalaff, executive vice president of Grupo Patio, indicated that this agreement is aimed at strengthening the development of innovative and sophisticated business, with companies sharing the same view and how things are done.
“We are creating a new line of business with our entry to the hotel industry and we are doing it together with a great partner. Selina is a very innovative company, focused in a segment of high potential and which has had a quick growth in the world. We think that this, together with our structure and experience in the real estate area, make an excellent combination”, he added.
On the other hand, Emilio Uribe, Selina’s Business Development Director, valued the alliance with Grupo Patio “because we are guaranteeing our growth together with a local strategic ally; we are sure that together we are going to introduce a new hospitality model in the Chilean market to attract more tourists and that they may know all what Chile has to offer”.
Currently Selina operates at 50 places of 13 Latin American and European countries. In 2019, the company plans to open 35 hotels in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal, Greece, Israel, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, as well as expanding to new European and Latin American markets.
